ABOUT REBOUND

Rebound Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy, LLC, was founded in 2006 with a passionate commitment to provide superior and personal patient care for Alaskans. At Rebound, you will never have any doubt that the number one goal is to get our patients back into life and back into the game.

We believe that the success with our patients at Rebound Physical Therapy is due to the experience and dedication of our staff along with our one-on-one individualized attention. In fact, in most cases, patients have one hour of individualized treatment so that we can provide the most personal and comprehensive care. We are very proud of our time commitment to the healing process of our patients. And it sets us apart from others.

Our commitment to providing the very best patient care in Alaska is also the philosophy behind an extraordinary business investment at Rebound. We are home to the only self-contained underwater treadmill in Anchorage. We believe this low impact / high resistance apparatus will help our patients recover more quickly. The owners of Rebound Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy are active members of the Anchorage community and love trying to participate in everything Alaska has to offer her residents. Owners Eric Steenburgh, PT, MSPT, OCS, CSCS, and his wife Meghan, enjoy everything from road and mountain running to hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, and skiing. Eric prefers road running, having finished numerous races, including Humpy’s Marathon (2003) in Anchorage and the Marine Corps Marathon (2007) in Washington, DC. Meghan prefers the mountains, having finished such races as Robert Spurr Memorial Hill Climb (Bird Ridge), Alyeska Classic Mountain Run, and Lost Lake Breath of Life Race. No doubt that we’re both looking for more, too! Essentially, we know how important it is to get out and enjoy this great state. Alaska is home. As part of our commitment to the community, we are also proud sponsors of events and we are humbled to be the only physical therapy group entrusted with providing comprehensive care to the injured players of the state’s professional sports teams. With a specialty in sports medicine, Rebound is the Official Physical Therapist of the Alaska Aces (www.alaskaaces.com) and the Alaska Wild (www.goakwild.com). Eric’s avid love affair with the game of hockey makes his role as the Official Physical Therapist of the Alaska Aces an especially rewarding title. He also plays on a recreational hockey team when time permits.

Additionally, Eric and Meghan actively volunteer with numerous service organizations in Alaska and elsewhere. One such charity with which they are intimately involved is a non-profit called Give to the World (www.givetotheworld.org). Give to the World ships clothing and school supplies to America’s service members serving in dangerous areas of conflict overseas so that they may distribute the goods to civilians living in desperate conditions.

As owners of Rebound Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy, we believe that we are also showing further commitment to the Alaska community by pledging within our organizational charter to donate a percentage of our gross profits to charities to ensure opportunities within Alaska and around the world.
