Debbie, a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant since 2005, grew up in Spokane, WA where she met and married an Alaskan.  After living in Anchorage for several years, she moved to Greensboro, North Carolina.  While in North Carolina, Debbie graduated from Greensboro Technical Community College with an Associate Degree from the Physical Therapy Assistant program. She returned to Anchorage in 2009, and thoroughly enjoys all of the summer and winter outdoor activities Alaska has to offer. 

Debbie became a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in 2004 and joined the special interest Aquatic Section in 2009.  She is a certified Pool Operator and is currently pursuing additional certifications in aquatic therapy and strength and conditioning. Her areas of interest in physical therapy include aquatics, orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, and hand therapy, as well as an active interest in nutrition and weight loss.

As a PTA, Debbie promotes an exercise-based treatment philosophy to assist patients in getting back to an active lifestyle.  She strongly emphasizes proper body mechanics and postural alignment to promote long-term pain relief with everyday movements.
